My goal being a teacher is to create in my learners a thorough recognition along with self-assurance when answering exam questions and being capable to handle unknown concerns. My approach is based on the belief that learning develops in an atmosphere of reciprocal recognition wherein the scholar is motivated to think and find links for themselves. According to my sensation private lesson has a distinct benefit to students thanks to the ability to break down the children' own boundaries to learning in a manner that sets the roots for a thorough and lasting discovering of the theme.
Student’s needs and learning style matter
My approach depends on the student's needs and learning style. Though, the basis of my teaching approach is motivating children to think on their own, using real-world situations whenever they can. |My opinion is that it is critical to provide learners with a working skills and to practice problem-solving skill sets for improving upon this knowledge. Training anyone to think critically is at the core of things that a person needs to take away from any subject class.
The role of mentoring
The most long-lasting contributions a tutor can bring in is mentoring learners, and it is a process, which I find fun and rewarding. From my practice, I learned the value of engaging students through patterns and of pitching material at a level that implies comprehension though not always knowledge, blending the unknown with the known within a mix which brings the learner the sensation of possibility instead of that of impossibility that formal and impressive approaches may enforce.
How I teach
I start from topics the children are familiar with and step progressively towards more complex sectors as their confidence is being grown. I bring into play questions and examples to confirm grasping all the time. I really don't lecture to learners or tell them to memorise information. Neither do I perform the students' home tasks for them!
I usually involve test-style or past paper questions in order to examine, exercise and improve the learner's comprehension and practice. I also give a lot of accent to a number of the not so much evident but vital skill sets for instance, logical thought, essay technique and structure, and the efficient use of numbers and graphs.
